Low lying cumulus clouds float above an atoll at “Blue Hour”. My father, born in 1938 on Cat Island, used kerosene lamps during hurricanes. All the walls in our house were painted white, and when I asked him why, he said so we could see better when the storm shutters were closed. When I was a little boy, my mother told me I’d go off on adventures by myself and return with a handful of flowers to give to her. I don’t remember this but it’s nice to know. I had no idea the amount of hard work it takes to get a simple photo of a flower.
